Bahir Dar

Lake Tana is the largest lake of Ethiopia that occupies an area of 3600 km and crossed by the longest river of the world which is the Blue Nile. The city of Bahir Dar is base for the lake islands, the majestic falls of the Blue Nile which is located 560 km of Addis Ababa, in the southeastern shore of Lake Tana and Gondar.
